Job Description
Location: Hybrid working, 1 - 2 days at our Warrington site, including Thursdays
We’re looking for a People Services Advisor to join our People team. This is a great opportunity for someone building their HR career who enjoys providing a brilliant service to employees and managers and wants to broaden their knowledge across the employee lifecycle.
You’ll be part of our People Services team, helping to keep our day-to-day people processes running smoothly and accurately. You’ll support employees and managers with their queries, coordinate key lifecycle activities and work closely with colleagues across People Services, Talent Acquisition, People Partnering and Employee Relations. You’ll also have the opportunity to get involved in improving how we work as you build your knowledge and confidence.
Core Responsibilities
- Support key employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, contractual changes, family leave and offboarding
- Respond to day-to-day employee and manager queries, providing clear information and escalating more complex matters when appropriate
- Support managers with straightforward people matters such as probation, absence and flexible working requests, using Gousto policies and guidance
- Work closely with Talent Acquisition and People Services colleagues to help create a smooth onboarding and pre-boarding experience
- Coordinate contractor and freelancer documentation and lifecycle administration, ensuring records remain accurate and up to date
- Support exit processes, including arranging and conducting exit interviews and accurately capturing feedback
- Maintain People documentation including contracts, job descriptions, organisational information and other employee records
- Work with colleagues across the People team to provide a consistent and helpful employee experience
- Identify opportunities to make everyday People Services processes simpler and more efficient, contributing ideas and supporting improvements
- Provide wider People Services support when required, including helping with process updates, office activities and events

Who You Are
- You have some practical HR or People Services knowledge and are keen to continue developing your experience across the employee lifecycle
- You enjoy helping people and can build positive working relationships with employees, managers and colleagues
- You have good attention to detail and understand the importance of accurate employee information and documentation
- You can communicate clearly and confidently, both verbally and in writing
- You’re organised and comfortable balancing different tasks and deadlines
- You’re comfortable following established processes while using judgement to recognise when something needs to be escalated
- You enjoy solving day-to-day problems and are happy to ask questions or seek guidance when needed
- You’re curious about how processes can be improved and are willing to contribute ideas that could make things simpler for employees and the team
- You’re comfortable using digital tools such as Google Docs and Google Sheets and are willing to develop your confidence working with HR systems and data

Interview Process:
- Introductory call with the Talent Acquisition team
- First round interview with the Hiring Manager(s)
- Final round interview on site
