Coventry City Council’s People and Culture Team sits within People Services and focuses on delivering organisational transformation and cultural change through a range of organisational interventions. Alongside our People Services colleagues we work to ensure that the development and redesign of our people management policies, practices and strategies are in line with the changing organisational environment and that they enable the delivery of outcomes associated with transformation and change.
The team get the chance to shape the culture and the future of the Council which includes being heavily involved in our One Coventry approach and striving to ensure that all employees are supported throughout the employee lifecycle

What is the job role?
We’re looking for a proactive and organised People Services Co-Ordinator to join our Employee Relations team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting managers and employees, ensuring fair and consistent application of people policies, and helping to create a positive and inclusive working environment.
In this varied role, you will:
- Provide advice and guidance on policies and procedures
- Support employee relations casework
- Assist with organisational change projects
- Produce reports and correspondence
- Maintain HR data and documentation
- Help monitor sickness absence management
You will work closely with People Services Advisors and Business Partners, you will contribute to meaningful projects that support organisational change and employee wellbeing, as well as providing a professional and efficient service delivery.

Who are we looking for?
We are seeking someone who is organised, customer-focused, and able to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
You will have:
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive and able to work on your own initiative or as a part of the wider team
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- A collaborative approach and willingness to support colleagues
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion
- CIPD Level 3 qualified, or willing to work towards achieving this qualification
