Belron UK Ltd. Role Profile – People Services Team Member
Reports To: People Services Team Manager
Department: People Function
Location: Head Office, Bedford
Role Purpose:
A member of the People Services Team, providing a professional, high quality, customer focused service to our people, leaders and candidates across the full spectrum of people services including effective signposting, utilising our state of art People Technology to its full capability.
The team will provide seamless, cost-effective transactional people services and first line advice across the whole People agenda including onboarding, maternity and parental leave, employee lifecycle changes and benefit administration. This role is key in enabling the whole People function to deliver high impact and high value people solutions, supporting the delivery of the people agenda for the business, and ultimately Making the lives of our People easier.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and prioritise the workflow of all People Services requests in the most efficient and effective way, ensuring that the delivery of services is in line with best processes, systems, procedures, and that response is in accordance with agreed KPIs.
- Working from two central inboxes – Providing comprehensive high-quality customer focused support across a broad range of People activities, coaching, answering general and system queries.
- Managing and supporting the onboarding process for new starters, issuing contractual paperwork and supporting the Talent Team where required.
- Managing the pre-employment screening process for new starters – liaising with the employee and external supplier, ensuring reference and criminal record checks are completed within a timely manner.
- Managing administration tasks associated with leavers including system admin and filing tasks, ensuring any personal files and paperwork are archived or destroyed in line with GDPR.
- Supporting employee lifecycle changes via our HRIS and coaching leaders as required, working in line with payroll cut off.
- Acting as the first point of contact, providing signposting advice to managers and employees on the associated policies and best practice, escalating more complex issues to the People Services Advisor or Team Manager where appropriate.
- Coaching leaders to support the production of correspondence in relation to matters such as absenteeism, disciplinary, capability, maternity, flexible working and probation reviews.
- Respond to reference requests for current or ex-employees in line with the Company policy.
- Support with planned or adhoc report requests and manage within agreed process and in line with GDPR.
- Ensuring compliance with data held on employees is in line with GDPR.
- Be flexible and able to undertake key tasks associated with the team at times of high volume.
- Contribute to the development and review of processes relating to the People function.
- Collaboration with payroll, reward and wider people function.

HRIS:
- Provide training, technical support and coaching for the people team and the wider business.
- Keeping training material up to date.
- Ensure all systems are up to date with accurate employee data via system auditing.
- Develop and implement processes in line with HRIS processes.
- Maintaining the HRIS, ensuring data integrity.
- Support with Testing at time of system releases and enhancements.
- Contribute to system continuous improvement.

- People Service Team Members, People Function, People Leaders across Belron UK, Employees, 3rd party suppliers.
Scale of role:
- Ensuring integrity of people data in daily work.
- Respond in line with KPIs to People related requests from the business, leaders and our people.
- Work within a process framework, escalating as required any exceptions.
- Manage and maintain HRIS.
Skills/Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a commercially focused People environment.
- Exemplary customer service skills.
- Experience in working with all levels of leadership.
- Passionate about quality and standards within the People context.
- Sound knowledge of GDPR requirements.
- Can demonstrate professional credibility, strong presence and articulate communication.
- Experience of working with Workday/similar HRIS Technology is advantageous.
- Ability to make sound judgements and decisions.

Educational/qualification requirements:
- Willingness to work towards CIPD level 3 or equivalent experience.
- Committed to individual CPD.
