People Shared Service Centre Administrator

Murphy is recruiting for a People Shared Service Centre Administrator to work within the People Shared Service Centre in Leeds.

Operating in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada and the USA, Murphy provides better engineered solutions to infrastructure sectors including transportation, water, power and natural resources. A day in the life of a Senior People Shared Services Centre Administrator:

  • Act as a first point of people contact for all employees, answering queries on process and policy where possible and referring to the Shared Service Centre Manager lead where a more comprehensive response is required.
  • Manage a volume of telephone and e-mail enquiries as well as queries made in person via the Shared Service Centre Mailbox – ensuring accurate and timely responses at all times.
  • Liaise with employees and line managers as required and in a timely manner, dealing with day to day enquiries and problem solve where possible.
  • Day to day responsibility for the administration tasks of all people functions, utilising and administering as required within the People management system.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry onto people systems – ensuring the ongoing integrity of data.
  • Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times (Data Protection) – including emails, letters and filing etc.
  • Provide management information when requested.
  • Ensure that all requests have been correctly approved and are processed within the agreed timescales e.g. Contract change requests / car authorisations / new starter information etc.
  • Support the reconciliation of payroll adjustments for both weekly paid and salaried staff.
  • Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times (Data Protection) – including emails, letters and filing etc.

  • Proven track record of providing People/HR administrative support to a large, multi-site, multi-disciplined business.
  • Experience of running HR Processes (Stat payments / Maternity / Payroll / payment plans etc.)
  • Experience of working within a HR/confidential environment.
  • Potential requirement to travel to sites/offices as and when required.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload in a busy office environment.
