We’re looking for a People Systems and Data Analyst to join our People team, helping us develop accurate, accessible and compliant management information, dashboards and reporting processes. This is a great opportunity to work collaboratively with colleagues across TfGM, translating workforce data into clear insight that supports our people priorities, improves data quality and helps shape how we plan for the future.
Your Role
In this role, you’ll analyse complex workforce and people data from a range of systems, including HR, recruitment, payroll, absence, establishment and workforce planning sources. You’ll develop and maintain reports, dashboards and datasets, using tools such as Excel, Power Query, Power BI and people-related systems. You’ll also support data quality, system improvements, testing and reporting processes, providing clear and accessible insight to help managers and stakeholders understand trends, risks, opportunities and future workforce needs.

Who are we?
You’ll be part of our People directorate, working closely with colleagues in our People team, managers and stakeholders across TfGM. The team plays an important role in making sure people data is accurate, trusted and used effectively to support decisions that shape our organisation and services. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful improvements in people systems, reporting and analytics, while developing your technical knowledge and working in a supportive, collaborative environment.

You’ll bring experience of extracting, manipulating, validating and presenting data using reporting and data visualisation tools. You’ll be confident working with multiple stakeholders to understand requirements, agree outputs and explain technical information clearly to non-technical audiences. A logical, systematic and innovative approach to problem-solving is important, along with strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage a varied workload. Experience of Power BI, Power Automate or a programming language would be helpful, but is not essential.

This role offers the chance to develop your skills in people analytics, systems and reporting while contributing to work that supports better workforce planning and decision-making across TfGM. You’ll be joining a supportive and collaborative People team, with opportunities to build relationships across the organisation, improve processes and help make people data more accessible, accurate and useful.
A permanent role with a salary of £36,198 - £41,281 per annum depending on skills and experience.
