Role Purpose

To ensure all resort positions are filled with high-quality candidates in a timely manner, supporting the successful delivery of resort operations. The role also contributes to the wider People & Culture team by providing efficient HR administration and delivering an exceptional employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Talent Acquisition Partner and Resort Operations team to successfully recruit and onboard all seasonal programme staff for both winter and summer seasons.
  • Manage and coordinate recruitment activity across multiple channels, including social media, company websites, job boards, and other sourcing platforms.
  • Continuously review and improve overseas recruitment processes, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and candidate experience.
  • Ensure all HR administration is completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with legal and company requirements, including contracts, visas, work permits, payroll, policies, handbooks, and employee records.
  • Support the onboarding and offboarding process for all resort employees, ensuring a seamless employee experience.
  • Ensure all employees remain compliant with local employment legislation and company policies.
  • Administer payroll processes accurately and within agreed deadlines to ensure employees are paid correctly.
  • Liaise with insurance providers to ensure all resort employees have appropriate cover throughout their employment.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee relations matters within the resort management teams, providing guidance and support where appropriate.
  • Respond to employee queries relating to people processes, policies, benefits, and payroll in a professional and timely manner.
  • Conduct regular one-to-one check-ins with resort employees to gather feedback, monitor wellbeing, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Proactively identify and engage potential Explorer candidates through social media platforms, job boards, universities, childcare networks and industry events.
  • Develop and manage targeted outreach campaigns to attract candidates with relevant childcare qualifications and experience.
  • Build and maintain a talent pool of warm leads for current and future recruitment cycles.
  • Represent Scott Dunn at careers fairs, University and College events and other relevant forums to raise brand awareness and drive applications.
  • Support wider People & Culture initiatives, projects, recruitment activities, training programmes, and office administration as required.
  • Assist the Talent Acquisition Partner and wider People & Culture team with employee administration and recruitment activities as required.

Key Duties

The duties associated with this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Recruiting seasonal resort employees and working closely with resort management teams to allocate staff to appropriate resorts and locations.
  • Creating and managing recruitment campaigns across social media, company websites, job boards, and other sourcing channels.
  • Sourcing additional employees throughout the season to cover peak periods, vacancies, replacements, and emergency staffing requirements.
  • Screening applications, conducting interviews, managing candidate communications, and progressing candidates through the recruitment process.
  • Completing all recruitment and HR administration accurately and within agreed timelines, including reference checks, DBS/police checks, visa and work permit applications, insurance reporting, purchase orders, recruitment reporting, and maintaining employee records.
  • Working closely with payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee pay.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and compliance documentation throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Responding promptly and professionally to employee enquiries relating to recruitment, payroll, policies, and employment matters.
  • Build, maintain, and develop a talent pool of qualified candidates for current and future recruitment needs.
  • Represent Scott Dunn at careers fairs, university and college events, and other recruitment forums to promote the employer brand and encourage applications.
  • Supporting the delivery of management training and people-related workshops when required.
  • Assisting the People & Culture team with Head Office recruitment, employee administration, training coordination, and employee engagement initiatives during quieter operational periods.

About you

  • Experience with high volume recruitment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proven time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Prior experience working in recruitment and within a seasonal capacity would be advantageous but not essential
  • You will be keen to build a career within the People & Culture space
