Hays Professional Services are delighted to be partnering with a highly successful and growing organisation to recruit a People & Training Lead.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a business with ambitious growth plans, where people development, employee engagement and organisational excellence are at the heart of its success. As the organisation continues to expand through both organic growth and acquisitions, they are seeking an experienced HR professional to play a pivotal role in supporting and developing their people strategy while driving training, development and change initiatives across the business.
The Opportunity
Reporting into the senior leadership team, the People & Training Lead will be responsible for supporting the delivery of people and learning initiatives across the organisation. This is a varied and hands-on role, offering exposure to employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training and organisational change. You will work closely with managers and stakeholders across the business, ensuring people processes remain compliant, effective and scalable while supporting employees through periods of growth and integration activity.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of the organisation's People and Training strategy.
- Act as a trusted advisor to managers on employee relations and people matters.
- Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, induction and probation processes.
- Support performance management and employee development initiatives.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with employment legislation.
- Assist with organisational change, acquisitions, employee integration and communications.
- Monitor and support learning and development activities across the business.
- Support the full employee life cycle, including exit interviews and retention initiatives.
- Analyse people data and provide insights to support decision-making.
About You
We are looking for a proactive and relationship-focused HR professional who is passionate about developing people and supporting business growth. You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a generalist HR or People role.
- Exposure to learning and development activities.
- Experience supporting organisational change, acquisitions, TUPE or integration activities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative capabilities.
- CIPD Level 3 or above, or equivalent practical experience.
