About the role:

We are looking for a highly talented, energetic, and confident individual to join the Versuni team and work with the brand Philips during this exciting period of growth. The role would suit a senior person with +5 years experience in Trade Marketing and/or Sales roles. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to work across varied functions within the business. You are a team player but also ambitious, highly organised and can prioritise workloads to meet demand. Additionally, you are looking for a development opportunity and want to grow within the Versuni Domestic Appliances business. This role reports into the Market Leader and a dotted line to the District Commercial Excellence Leader.

You are part of the UK and Ireland Trade Shopper Marketing team. You are working in a network of various internal and external stakeholders across the UK and Ireland and Amsterdam (e.g., Retailers, Media agencies, Key account managers, Marketing managers, Commercial Excellence team, Logistics, Finance).

The impact you’ll make:

  • Create, implement and evaluate the year-round Trade (Shopper) Marketing plans, in close cooperation with the Key Account Managers and Marketing managers
  • Jointly responsible for Sell out KPIs and forecast
  • Build expertise of a channel specialist based on shopper insights, market data and best practices, stock & sell-out data from retailers and identify biggest growth opportunities for the channel (working with retailers such as John Lewis, Argos, Currys, AO, Amazon, Costco)
  • Lead the creation of trade activation plan for key categories in a channel under responsibility taking into account channel specifics and tailor made approach covering- assortment, price, promotion, presentation and communication (in-out of store)
  • Able to create, manage and drive joint business plans, transforming budgeted targets into specific strategy and actions
  • You'll brief our agency on in-store activations in hundreds of stores in Currys, John Lewis' and others.
  • Perfect Store execution: Constant monitoring of Philips in-store position (in-store excellence) online and offline, setting improvement targets in each trade area and driving actions to close gaps
  • Managing Sponsored Products and Display online campaigns for our key retailers
  • Evaluate all trade activities and events in order to optimize the investment and achieve best ROI
  • Manage Channel / Account A&P trade budget and jointly manage the account P&L in order to grow Gross Margin (in value and in % of revenue)
  • Communicate trade activities to field force and create merchandising guidelines and tools to support in store excellence
  • In cooperation with the Category Managers, partner and support Key Account Managers in selling the concept of activities to retailers via trade argumentation (how Philips activation is growing category) and on-going contact with your counter parts.
  • Responsible for retail training, customer POS and conceptual selling (trade decks, etc)
  • Interacts with direct Trade Shopper Marketing colleagues within the UK and Ireland organization but also with the District North Trade Shopper Marketing team. Inspire and share best practices.

The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree
  • 5+ years experience in Trade Marketing or Sales position
  • Knowledge and experience of Trade Marketing disciplines and development of promotional merchandise and POS materials
  • Strong understanding and know-how of digital performance metrics and environment
  • Able to build relationships with customers to fully understand the market and implement trade marketing solutions
  • Strategic, long-term thinking and planning but also operationally driving the daily business
  • Experience of managing budgets and maximizing ROI
  • A great communicator able to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Commercial talent that thinks in creative solutions driven by results
  • Dedicated, enthusiastic, innovative, and proactive
  • English language both conversation and written
