Performance Analyst

As a Performance Analyst, you'll play a key role in monitoring, analysing and reporting on business performance and KPIs. You'll investigate performance issues to identify root causes, trends and opportunities for improvement, transforming complex data into clear and actionable insights that support effective decision-making across the business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and maintain management information, dashboards, reports, data models and reporting solutions using Power BI and other analytical tools.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, provide insight-led recommendations and support governance and performance review processes through accurate and timely reporting.
  • Ensure the quality, integrity and consistency of data while identifying opportunities to automate and streamline reporting processes.

What We're Looking For

  • Highly analytical and proactive individual with experience working with large datasets and complex information to deliver meaningful business insights.
  • Strong technical skills in Power BI, SQL and Excel, with experience developing reports, dashboards and data visualisations that support performance management and decision-making.
  • Excellent problem solver with experience of investigating performance issues, identifying root causes and presenting findings to a range of audiences.
  • Strong organisational skills, the ability to manage competing priorities and a collaborative approach to working with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of KPI frameworks, performance management and root cause analysis techniques, together with an understanding of data modelling and data visualisation best practice.
  • Experience of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Power Automate, Power Query or Fabric would be advantageous.

The not-so-small print

  • Grade 6 role with a starting salary of £37,815, progressing to a maximum of £48,395.
  • Applications accepted until midnight on 4th September 2026.
  • Balanced Hybrid working model with a requirement to work half the time in a Scottish Water location.
  • Conditional job offers subject to pre-employment screening.
  • Valid UK driving licence required for driving on Scottish Water business and claiming business mileage expenses.
  • Drug & Alcohol testing in line with company policy.
  • Candidates who haven’t submitted an application in the last 12 months will have their records removed from our recruitment database.
