You will be joining the Strategic Performance, Intelligence and Risk service which is responsible for driving high-quality data and reporting products to support evidence-led decision making for Dorset Council and providing value for money services to residents.

What Can You Expect To Be Doing
As a council we have a responsibility to be open and transparent in how we are performing against our priorities and objectives. This is underpinned by the need for good quality data, reporting products, and insights.
- You will be leading on performance reporting and monitoring for the Council's climate and nature programme, turning sustainability data into clear insights and reporting.
- The post will play a key role in helping us track progress, and support evidence-led decision making, against our climate and ecological commitments, including providing meaningful performance information to the Climate and Nature Delivery Board, Senior Leaders, and Elected Members.
- You'll have the opportunity to work with officers and systems from across the council to ensure data is collected and reported in a consistent manner and translated into meaningful reporting products and insights.

About You
You will be confident in using data and have strong stakeholder management skills, adapting methods to suit the audience. You will have a keen eye for detail, curious mindset, and good communication skills. Experience in presentation of management information and reports, and excellent knowledge of IT applications and database packages (including Power BI) is essential.
