Performance and Analytics Associate - Private Equity
A leading private markets organisation is seeking a Performance and Analytics Associate to join their Private Equity division in London. What you'll do:
- Assist in the quarterly investor reporting process across Private Equity by preparing accurate reports covering multiple strategies and geographies.
- Prepare and maintain client-ready portfolio data to support regular client materials, investor due diligence, and business development efforts.
- Handle day-to-day performance and exposure analyses, ensuring data integrity and timely delivery of outputs for internal stakeholders as well as clients.
- Understand, reconcile, and load large unstructured datasets onto relevant systems while enhancing data models for improved analytics.
- Drive technology-led projects aimed at reducing manual processes within the team, collaborating closely with investment deal teams and operations teams for data gathering and analysis.
- Prepare responses to investor queries on portfolio topics by understanding industry performance metrics and supporting quarterly valuation processes.
- Manage workflow efficiently to ensure deadlines are met for all periodic and ad-hoc tasks related to reporting and analytics.
- Support the wider Private Equity valuation process including data collation, critical review, and reporting support for client operational due diligence visits.
- Work closely with administrators and fund accounting teams to ensure financial reporting is accurate, timely, and reflects relevant insight from the wider team.
- Adhere to regulatory requirements such as the FCA's Conduct Rules by maintaining high standards of personal conduct throughout all activities.

What you bring:
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent) with a minimum 2:1 obtained; newly qualified chartered financial analyst or chartered accountant or equivalent financial qualification is highly desirable.
- Minimum four years' experience in the financial services sector with exposure to private equity preferred; strong grasp of commercial nature, accounting principles, and financial reporting requirements for these vehicles.
- Highly analytical mindset with proven ability to work with high volumes of numerical data - transforming information into actionable insights for decision making.
- Advanced IT literacy including expert knowledge of Excel for modelling purposes as well as proficiency in PowerPoint and Word for report preparation.
- Excellent report writing skills demonstrated by fluent command of business-level English suitable for drafting documents for internal/external audiences.
- Flexible attitude towards work profile; capable of handling significant volume of non-routine or unpredictable work demands while meeting tight deadlines.
- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills enabling you to build lasting relationships across businesses; manage stakeholder expectations effectively; collaborate within a team environment.
- Conscientious approach with exceptional attention to detail ensuring accuracy in all aspects of performance measurement and reporting activities.
- Calmness under pressure combined with high energy levels; able to remain effective during periods of intense activity or deadline-driven tasks.
