Performance Data Analyst (SEND)

Job Summary:

Are you passionate about using data to improve outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Do you thrive in a high-impact analytical role where your work directly informs strategic decision-making and service transformation?

This is an exciting opportunity to help transform SEND services through data and intelligence. You will work closely with senior leaders and partners to improve outcomes for children and young people across Ealing.

Ealing Council have an exciting new opportunity as Performance and Data Analyst (SEND) available on a full time. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Performance and Data Analyst (SEND) to join our Schools Data, Performance and Intelligence team. The post holder will play a key role in supporting SEND services by delivering high-quality insight and ensuring statutory reporting is accurate and timely, including SEN2.

In this role you will also contribute to shaping data systems, supporting SEND reforms, and enabling senior leaders to make informed decisions that improve outcomes for residents.

The Performance and Data Analyst (SEND) role:

  • Lead statutory returns (including SEN2) ensuring compliance and deadlines are met
  • Develop and enhance data systems and reporting frameworks
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends and inform planning
  • Produce high-quality dashboards and reports (e.g. Power BI)
  • Provide expert advice on data interpretation and performance
  • Support forecasting including specialist school place planning
  • Collaborate with services, ICT and partners to improve data systems
  • Ensure strong data quality, validation and GDPR compliance

Our ideal Performance and Data Analyst (SEND) will have the below skills and experience:

  • Advanced skills in Excel, SQL and Power BI
  • Strong analytical and forecasting capability
  • Experience working with large datasets
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
  • Experience in SEND, education or public sector
