Role Summary
The Performance and Development Officer will play a crucial role in overseeing the company’s apprenticeship program, monitoring staff performance, and driving continuous professional development. The role requires a proactive individual with a passion for talent development and a track record in performance management within a similar industry.
Key Responsibilities
Apprenticeship Program Management:
- Oversee and coordinate the company’s apprenticeship program, ensuring alignment with industry standards and company objectives.
- Develop and implement training modules and evaluation criteria for apprentices.
- Monitor and assess apprentice progress, logbook progression, and providing guidance and support as needed.
- Liaise with educational institutions and external partners to ensure the program meets regulatory and educational requirements.

Staff Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor and assess logbook progression providing guidance and support as needed.
- Implement performance appraisal systems to assess and enhance employee productivity and development.
- Facilitate regular performance reviews between management and staff to discuss progress, provide feedback, and set objectives.
- Identify training needs based on performance appraisals and work with management to address gaps.
Employee Feedback and Support:
- Facilitate constructive feedback to employees based on performance reviews and personal development plans.
- Work closely with team leaders to address performance issues.
- Support employees in identifying career development opportunities and setting realistic goals.
Requirements
Educational Background:
- Experience in People Development, Management or a related field.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the aviation or technical services industry.
- Proven track record in managing apprenticeship programs and employee development initiatives.
- Experience with performance appraisal systems and delivering employee feedback.

- Ability to analyse performance data and generate actionable insights.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Smartsheet.
