At Alleyoop, we’re looking for a commercially minded marketer who can write.

We need someone who understands why people buy, can turn that insight into advertising that gets people to take action, and wants to get involved across the wider marketing process.

The Role

Your main responsibility will be creating the words and ideas behind our clients’ performance marketing campaigns.

  • You’ll work alongside our strategy, performance and creative teams to understand the client, the customer, the offer and the opportunity; then turn that into advertising designed to generate leads, sales and revenue.
  • That could mean:
    • Writing Meta and Google ad copy
    • Developing hooks, angles, headlines and offers
    • Creating concepts for new advertising campaigns
    • Writing scripts for video and presenter-led ads
    • Turning customer pain points into compelling creative
    • Producing creative briefs for our designers and video team
    • Writing and improving landing-page copy
    • Researching clients, competitors and target audiences
    • Helping us analyse what messaging is actually performing
    • Creating variations and new tests based on campaign data

You might also help us:

  • Prepare proposals for prospective clients
  • Build case studies from successful campaigns
  • Develop Alleyoop's brand
  • Create pitch materials and sales collateral
  • Support campaign strategy and creative planning

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who We're Looking For

You’re probably already working in marketing, advertising or at an agency and have realised that one of your strongest skills is taking an idea and communicating it brilliantly. You're also very sound.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is an excellent, natural writer
  • Understands marketing and advertising
  • Has strong commercial instincts
  • Knows what makes customers take action
  • Can quickly understand completely different businesses and industries
  • Can identify the real selling point rather than simply repeating what the client tells us
  • Is comfortable challenging weak messaging
  • Generates lots of ideas
  • Understands the difference between creative that looks good and creative that performs
  • Is organised enough to manage multiple clients and deadlines
  • Is comfortable using AI as part of their everyday workflow
  • Wants to learn quickly and take on more responsibility as the business grows

If you look at an advert saying "Quality Service. Competitive Prices. Call Today." and immediately start thinking about how much better it could be, you'll probably enjoy this role.

Alleyoop is a performance marketing agency.

We work with ambitious businesses to deliver:

  • Profitable lead generation.
  • E-commerce growth.
  • Trackable revenue creation.

You'll be joining a growing team across strategy, performance, creative and client services, working on campaigns for businesses across a huge range of sectors.

That variety is a big part of the job.

One day you might be developing an advertising campaign for a property business.

The next you're selling golf equipment, home improvements, professional services, fitness programmes or e-commerce products.

The Opportunity

This is a role with room to grow.

Initially, we need someone who can become exceptional at the written and conceptual side of performance creative.

Over time, we'd expect the right person to become increasingly involved in campaign strategy, creative direction, pitches and client growth.

If you want a marketing role where you're given one tiny part of the process and asked to stay in your lane, this probably isn't it.

If you want to understand the whole commercial picture and become a seriously good marketer, we'd like to hear from you.
