Performance Creative Strategist (Paid Ads)
£70k - £90k DOE + bonus
London
Hybrid - 3 days On-Site in London
ThePlaceToBe are excited to be partnering with a high-growth DTC consumer brand as they look to appoint a Performance Creative Strategist to join their growing performance marketing team.
This is a brilliant opportunity for a highly analytical and commercially minded Creative Strategist who is comfortable working at significant paid media spend and high volumes of creative, analysing what’s working, why it’s working and how to continually improve performance.
You’ll sit at the intersection of data, creative and paid media, working closely with channel managers and creative teams in a fast-paced environment where 1000's of creative assets are tested, optimised and scaled to drive customer acquisition and commercial growth.
About the role...
As Performance Creative Strategist, you’ll be the link between creative performance and future creative development. You’ll spend your time analysing paid social performance, identifying patterns and opportunities, developing creative hypotheses and turning those insights into clear, compelling briefs for designers, creators and other creative partners.

What you’ll be doing day to day...
- Analysing creative performance across Meta, TikTok and other paid channels to understand what’s working and why
- Turning performance data into creative hypotheses, concepts, hooks and compelling briefs
- Developing and testing creative across UGC, video, static and other paid social formats
- Using performance insights to decide what to scale, iterate or stop, and identify creative fatigue
- Conducting competitor and market research to uncover new creative angles, formats and opportunities
- Working closely with Paid Social, Performance and Creative teams to build a high-volume testing environment and continually improve results
About you...
This role would suit someone who combines strong analytical thinking with genuine creative curiosity. You might come from a Creative Strategy, Performance Marketing, Paid Social or Media Buying background, but you'll need to have a strong understanding of creative performance and be comfortable getting into the detail of advertising data.

What we're looking for...
- 2+ years' experience across Creative Strategy, Performance Marketing, Paid Social or Media Buying
- Strong hands-on experience analysing paid social creative performance, particularly across Meta
- Excellent understanding of creative testing, DTC acquisition, UGC and short-form video
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into clear creative insights, concepts and briefs
- Experience working closely with creative, design, content and/or paid media teams
- Naturally curious and commercially minded, with a genuine obsession with understanding why creative wins or fails
