About Kokoro Performance
Kokoro Performance is a passionate & ambitious racing driver coaching and management business. We work with drivers from karting through to Formula One level and combine on track coaching, simulator training, physical & neurological preparation and data driven performance analysis.
The Role
We're hiring a race engineer to run simulator training with Kokoro's driver roster from the Royston office. You'll analyse each driver's data and video during the session, coach them on technique in real time and turn every session into a structured report against Kokoro's KPI framework. This is a hands on role for someone who has worked as a race or performance engineer in real world motorsport and wants to apply that to driver development.

What You'll Do
- Run every simulator training session with Kokoro's drivers at the Royston office
- Analyse telemetry, sector data and onboard video live during the session to identify technique weaknesses
- Build custom channels within Kokoro's data software and support its ongoing development
- Coach drivers in the moment, giving clear instruction on what to change and how
- Write a session report for each driver, benchmarked against Kokoro's KPIs and data points, covering performance and what to work on next
- Track each driver's progress from session to session and flag trends to the wider coaching team
- Travel to race tracks on an ad hoc basis to support drivers and gather comparison data

What You'll Need
- A background as a race engineer or performance engineer in real world motorsport, single-seater, GT or equivalent
- Fluent with telemetry and onboard video analysis tools and simulator platforms
- Able to translate data into instruction a driver can act on immediately, not just a report they read later
- Confident coaching drivers at a professional level
- Based within commuting distance of Royston, or willing to relocate, with availability for occasional travel to race tracks
Salary & Location
- Salary: £40,000 – £45,000
- Based primarily at Kokoro's Royston office, with ad hoc travel to race tracks to support drivers.
