The Role
This is a role for a performance motivated designer. You will design static and motion assets that carry our paid social, working from briefs written by our Performance Creative Strategist and alongside a Social Video Editor. Meta is the short term focus but TikTok is in the near future. The work is high volume by design, and the standard has to stay high because our brand is our long term priority. We never chase a cheap sale.
We are looking for a designer with a deep talent and a point of view who can see a brief, understand the job the asset has to do, and get three good routes on screen before lunch.
What You'll Do
- Design for the channel
- Design statics, carousels, stories and motion assets for paid social channels, built for the platform with understanding and skill
- Take single concepts and build out variants required for testing plan across format, aspect, hook, offer, and audience
- Design with the numbers in mind. When a creative wins, you will work out which part of it won and design the next round from there
- Rework and refresh live assets quickly as performance shifts and evolves over time
- Work at pace and keep the bar
- Turn briefs around in hours and days, not weeks
- Keep every asset recognisably Ancient + Brave while stretching what the brand can do in a performance context
- Build and maintain templates, master files and component libraries so speed compounds over time
- Use AI tools where they make the work faster or better, but maintain a tight hold on the brand and its integrity working in partnership with the Art Director to maintain our meticulously crafted brand over time
- Work as a pod
- Sit with the Performance Creative Strategist through briefing and review as a partner in the development of work that truly works
- Work with the Social Video Editor so static and motion feed each other rather than running in parallel
- Take direction from the Creative Director and Art Director on craft and brand, and bring work to them early enough to enable useful and additive input
- Develop work across all A+B markets flexing the core brand as needed to support different seasons, buying occasions and cultural needs as briefs require
- Support the wider design team on brand assets, packaging and campaign work when needed and when time allows

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
