About The Role
What does the average day look like?
- You will review the inboxes, assigning new tasks and getting progress updates on ongoing requests where relevant. Where possible you will be responsible for completing requests.
- You will ensure all automated datasets and reports have updated correctly.
- Update relevant BAU Reporting processes ensuring data is accurate. These processes require working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and SAP Business Objects.
- You will review existing processes with a view to improving them and making them more efficient.
- Supporting the wider team with provision of train performance data.

You'll be part of a supportive and high-performing team that sits at the heart of Network Rail's performance function. The team brings together a mix of expertise across performance analysis, reporting and stakeholder engagement, all focused on building a clear, shared view of how the network is operating and where improvements can be made. It's a collaborative environment where people work closely with colleagues across the business and the wider industry, sharing insight and challenging thinking to get to the root of issues.
The team takes pride in producing work that genuinely influences decisions at the highest levels, and there's a strong sense of purpose in the impact this has on passengers and freight users. You'll be joining a group that values openness, curiosity and practical thinking, where people are encouraged to contribute ideas, learn from each other and develop their skills while working on meaningful, visible priorities.

Your experience and skills
Who are we looking for?
- Proven track record of delivering high quality and assured data driven outputs.
- Good time and workload management.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage customer expectations.
- Experience of working in a regular reporting cycle with set deadlines.
- Working knowledge of Power BI or similar reporting software.
Essential Criteria
- Understanding of Microsoft office applications
- Able to work to strict timescales
- Able to work under pressure with challenging objectives
- Ability to self-check work and consistently deliver a high quality product
- Strong communication skills within a team
