Job Description
Performance Lead
Location: London
Who We Are
We’re looking for an experienced Performance Lead to join our European Digital Activation Hub, working with a well-known sportswear brand operating at the intersection of sport, culture and creativity.
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of our largest and most strategically important partnerships and take a senior role in shaping performance activation across Europe. You’ll work across multiple markets and channels, alongside specialists in media, data, technology, measurement and activation, with the opportunity to influence how significant digital investment is planned, activated and measured.
At Omnicom Media, we believe our best work happens when people have the opportunity to make an impact, develop their careers and bring different perspectives to the table. We’re committed to creating an inclusive environment where our people can thrive, supported by strong learning and development opportunities and a collaborative global community.
If you’re passionate about performance marketing, commercially minded and excited by the opportunity to connect data, investment and activation to drive measurable business growth for a major global brand, this could be a fantastic next step.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the performance activation strategy across Europe, overseeing search, paid social and programmatic and ensuring activity is focused on delivering measurable commercial and digital commerce outcomes.
- Translate business objectives and growth ambitions into clear performance strategies, developing annual and quarterly roadmaps that connect audience, media, creative and measurement across channels.
- Drive a genuinely cross-channel approach to performance, ensuring search, social and programmatic work together effectively rather than being planned and optimised in isolation.
- Lead investment and budget allocation across performance channels and markets, using performance data, modelling and commercial insight to ensure investment is directed towards the strongest opportunities for incremental growth.
- Act as a senior strategic advisor, translating complex performance data into clear commercial recommendations and confidently guiding stakeholders through investment decisions, channel prioritisation and optimisation opportunities.
- Partner closely with Data, Analytics and Effectiveness teams, using marketing mix modelling, incrementality testing and attribution to understand performance and inform future investment decisions.
- Champion a strong test-and-learn culture, identifying opportunities across platforms, audiences, technology and activation approaches and ensuring experimentation is linked to meaningful commercial outcomes.
- Set standards for activation excellence, developing quality frameworks and governance that ensure campaigns are built, optimised and measured consistently across European markets.
- Help shape the approach to automation and AI within performance activation, identifying where new technology can improve bidding, audience management, workflows and overall effectiveness.
- Work collaboratively across the wider account, partnering with Brand, Strategy & Planning, Media Operations, Investment and specialist data teams to ensure performance activity connects seamlessly with the broader media strategy.
- Provide leadership across the performance activation function, prioritising resources, resolving complex delivery challenges and ensuring teams have the clarity and support needed to deliver high-quality work at scale.
- Lead and develop a team of senior specialists, building capability through coaching, training and development while fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration and craft excellence.
- Bring a strong commercial perspective, balancing performance, investment, agency revenue and client objectives to ensure decisions deliver value for both the partnership and the wider business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
