Role Summary and Impact:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Performance Manager to work in our Overseas (OS) team with our prestigious Automotive client account. In this role you will be supporting WPP OS markets (India, Australia, South Africa, Japan, Korea, Brazil and Mexico) to deliver on their clients commercial objective. With the experience and expertise to troubleshoot and support in swiftly tackling and improving any challenges arising in a market or campaign performance. Alongside WPP’s reporting technologies, time will be spent on performance analysis and improvement vs purely collating and sharing data. Operationally, we are looking for a responsive, efficient and solutions-focused manager who is task-orientated and outcomes-based.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Management
- Participate in calls and meetings with markets to understand their challenges, and discuss performance and future strategies
- Support the creation of rationale for a media plan, any optimisation decisions and their outcomes
- Support with campaign performance improvements, analysis and recommendations
- Setting Objectives, Targeting & Planning
- Development of audience insight, customer journey mapping and comms strategy. Draw on existing client or industry research to establish the customer journey, media touchpoints and key points of optimisation to improve response, conversion and order value (e.g. audience, creative, website/landing page pathing, ease of purchase)
- Work with the Performance lead to create macro strategy around key performance variables which should be incorporated in local implementational (channel) planning
- Access key 1st/3rd party data to maximise insight and targeting strategy
- Interrogate historic performance data (where available) to determine or optimise the existing opportunity and key variables which might drive ROI
- Ensure correct measurement framework is in place to determine success and use of data for optimisation (e.g. attribution, econometrics) is utilised where available
- Ensure creation of media plan which contains core ROI media solutions, with in-built variable tests to ensure there is always a “test and learn” strategy in place
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal planning, digital performance, account management and creative teams to ensure seamless campaign activation and delivery.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders on campaign status, performance and any issues that arise.
- Provide support and guidance to market teams as needed.
- Process & Best Practices:
- Adhere to all WPP Media internal processes, financial procedures and client service standards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of media buying processes and adoption of best practices.
- Become a power user of WPP’s reporting technologies and support market capabilities.

Required Qualifications:
- Relevant experience in media buying, investment, or a similar role within a media agency.
- Proven experience in executing and optimizing media campaigns across one or more key channels (e.g., Digital, Programmatic, Social, TV, OOH).
- Strong understanding of media metrics, buying models and campaign performance analysis.
- Proficiency in media buying platforms and tools.
- Excellent analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in managing budgets and data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting information clearly.
- Highly organized, proactive and able to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine interest in the automotive or luxury market and the evolving media landscape.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred.
