About Silver Cross
Silver Cross is the original British nursery brand, trusted by families for nearly 150 years. Based in the Yorkshire countryside, we bring together heritage, design and innovation to create luxury baby products loved around the world - supported by knowledgeable, passionate people who care deeply about what they do.
The Role
The opportunity is for a Performance Marketing Executive to join our ecommerce team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to become permanent. You will help maximise the effectiveness of our paid media investment across digital channels, supporting profitable customer acquisition and revenue growth.
Working closely with colleagues across ecommerce and marketing, as well as external agency and platform partners, you will turn business priorities, trading plans and campaign activity into effective paid media plans. This is a varied, commercially focused role with the opportunity to contribute across strategy, channel performance, campaign delivery and reporting.
While this is a fixed-term opportunity, Silver Cross is a growing business. As such, there may be longer-term opportunities in the future, dependent on business needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Work with agency partners to shape paid media strategies across search, shopping, paid social, affiliate and emerging channels.
- Supporting the development and delivery of the paid media strategy in line with ecommerce, marketing and commercial priorities.
- Translating wider business objectives, trading plans, product launches and campaign priorities into clear paid media plans and briefs.
- Acting as a key internal point of contact for paid media agency partners, coordinating briefs, priorities, reporting requirements, feedback and performance reviews.
- Building strong relationships with platform partners, including TikTok Shop and other relevant ecommerce and media platforms.
- Overseeing paid media budgets and channel performance against commercial targets, including revenue, return on ad spend, cost per acquisition and conversion.
- Analysing channel performance and marketing data to identify trends, opportunities and clear optimisation priorities.
- Working with ecommerce, brand, social media and content colleagues to deliver integrated campaigns and support product launches and promotional activity.
- Monitoring competitor activity, platform developments and emerging industry trends to identify opportunities for future growth.
- Translating UK paid media learnings and performance insights into useful recommendations for international markets.
- Support full-funnel planning and measurement, helping the business understand the role of paid media beyond last-click revenue, including awareness, consideration, acquisition and retention.
- Be the go-to in-house contact for performance marketing, helping internal teams understand channel performance, opportunities, risks and recommendations.
- Help build internal confidence and understanding of paid media by sharing insights, learnings and clear performance summaries with stakeholders.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
