About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and commercially-minded Performance Marketing Lead to join our Digital and Content team, reporting to the Head of Performance Marketing. As part of a matrix team of specialists across the Client Directorate, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering integrated performance marketing strategies that drive commercial growth, increase brand consideration, and generate high-quality leads.
Working closely with brand, campaign, digital, martech and web teams, you'll lead the development, execution and optimisation of multi-channel performance marketing activity. This is a highly visible role where you'll influence strategic direction, champion innovation and ensure our media investment delivers measurable business impact while supporting outstanding client outcomes.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the development and delivery of integrated performance marketing strategies that drive engagement, consideration and lead generation.
- Translate business objectives into full-funnel media plans, working closely with agencies, channel specialists and internal stakeholders.
- Lead all aspects of the planning, execution and optimisation of performance marketing campaigns across Paid Search, Display, Native, Online Video, Social Media and SEO/GEO.
- Partner with brand and campaign teams to deliver cohesive, through-the-line marketing activity.
- Drive continual improvement and innovation by identifying new media opportunities, technologies and approaches to support business growth.
- Collaborate with martech and web teams to optimise digital customer journeys, personalisation and conversion performance.
- Analyse campaign performance and provide actionable insights using data from platforms such as Google Analytics, ad tech solutions and Salesforce.
- Develop audience strategies and leverage first-party data to improve targeting, performance and customer experiences.
- Manage agency relationships and ensure campaigns are delivered to the highest standards.
- Build strong relationships across the business, aligning stakeholders around objectives, KPIs and measurement frameworks.
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team, encouraging a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all marketing activity operates within regulatory requirements and delivers positive outcomes for customers.

About You
We're looking for a strategic and data-driven performance marketing professional with a proven track record of delivering commercial growth through integrated digital marketing campaigns. You'll be equally comfortable shaping long-term strategy and rolling up your sleeves to optimise campaign performance, while building strong relationships across a complex stakeholder landscape. Demonstrating leadership qualities, you'll bring strong commercial awareness, a collaborative approach and a passion for innovation in digital marketing.
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience developing and delivering integrated paid media strategies across channels including Paid Search, Social, Display and Online Video.
- Strong expertise in performance marketing analytics, reporting and optimisation, with hands-on experience using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams, managing agency partners and influencing senior stakeholders across multiple business areas.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate business objectives into measurable marketing outcomes, supported by robust measurement and attribution frameworks.
Desirable Criteria
- Google Marketing Platform or Google Ads certifications.
- Experience with customer data platforms (CDPs), first-party data activation, customer journey orchestration and personalisation strategies.
