Performance Marketing Lead
Salary: £70,000 - £85,000 + bonus + equity
Location: London – Hybrid, 4 days per week in the office
Pivotal is partnering with a leading UK technology business making significant investment into its Consumer Growth function.
Operating at significant scale with millions of consumers and an established digital proposition, the business is going through an exciting period of transformation, investing heavily across technology, customer experience and acquisition.
They are now looking for a Performance Marketing Lead to play a key role in the next phase of their growth.
This is a senior, hands-on position combining deep Performance Marketing expertise with genuine commercial and strategic influence. You'll work across high-volume customer acquisition, significant media investment and a sophisticated digital ecosystem, while helping shape how the business approaches Performance Marketing over the next 12–24 months.
The Opportunity
- Own and optimise high-volume Consumer acquisition across Paid Search, Paid Social and wider biddable channels.
- Manage significant media investment with autonomy across optimisation, testing and budget allocation.
- Help evolve the business beyond traditional Search and identify new sources of incremental growth.
- Use automation, AI and emerging advertising formats to improve performance and efficiency.
- Work closely with Product, Data, CRM and wider Growth teams to improve the end-to-end customer journey.
- Influence the future Performance Marketing roadmap while remaining genuinely hands-on with platforms, data and execution.

Responsibilities
- Manage and optimise large-scale Paid Search and Paid Social activity across Google, Microsoft, Meta and other relevant platforms.
- Drive acquisition against commercial KPIs including CAC/CPA, revenue, customer quality and LTV.
- Own testing across bidding, audiences, creative, feeds, landing pages and new channels.
- Use data to identify opportunities, diagnose performance issues and make investment decisions.
- Develop approaches to automation, AI and emerging advertising formats.
- Evaluate channel incrementality and identify opportunities to diversify the acquisition mix.
- Partner with Product, Analytics, CRM and Growth teams to improve conversion and customer value.
- Communicate performance, insights and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders.
Your Profile
- Strong hands-on experience across Performance Marketing / Paid Acquisition.
- Deep knowledge of Paid Search, with experience across Paid Social and/or wider biddable channels.
- Experience managing high-volume customer acquisition and significant media budgets.
- Strong understanding of Google Ads, PMax, Shopping/feed-based activity, bidding and automation.
- Commercially minded, with experience optimising beyond platform metrics towards CAC, revenue, LTV, profitability or customer quality.
- Highly analytical and comfortable interrogating data to inform investment decisions.
- Curious about AI, automation, emerging channels and the changing Search landscape.
- Comfortable operating as a senior individual contributor while influencing strategy and senior stakeholders.
- Experience within ecommerce, marketplaces, comparison, travel or another sophisticated high-volume Consumer environment would be particularly relevant.
