What is the purpose of this job?

We're looking for a Performance Marketing Manager to oversee always-on acquisition activity for Railcards and National Rail 2FOR1 offers, ensuring campaigns maximise return on investment and contribute to business growth.

The Performance Marketing Manager will act as the day-to-day lead for our media agency, ensuring campaigns are delivered effectively across Paid Search, Paid Social, Display and Affiliate channels, with a focus on continuous optimisation and delivering measurable results.

What can I expect to do in this job?

  • They will analyse campaign and website performance data, identifying trends, opportunities and actionable insights to improve future activity.
  • They will also produce performance reporting using agency data and internal analytics tools, translating complex information into clear recommendations for stakeholders.

The successful candidate will take ownership of performance marketing budgets and results, working closely with agency partners and internal teams to drive continual improvement and deliver against agreed KPIs.

Requirements

The ideal person will be:

  • Self-motivated with proven experience of media agency management and a working knowledge and understanding of Paid Search, Paid Social, Display and Affiliate Marketing.
  • It is essential you can demonstrate experience or competence of:
    • Use knowledge and expertise acquired through professional qualification or past work experience to develop, implement and evaluate performance marketing plans, delivering to agreed objectives.
    • Work with agencies to define media plans from briefing to delivery, providing direction on tactical optimisations.
    • Stakeholder management: communicate effectively and frequently with multiple stakeholders, including media agencies, marketing teams internally and externally and suppliers.
    • Measure, monitor and report marketing results and impact with insightful key learnings.
  • Experience of Google Analytics (GA4) or other digital analytics platforms would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Strong understanding of performance marketing metrics including CPA, conversion rate, ROAS, CTR and revenue contribution, with the ability to assess channel performance and recommend improvements.
