Performance Marketing Manager – Retail & eCommerce
Location: Remote – UK
Salary: Up to £45,000

The Role
We’re looking for a commercially focused Performance Marketing Manager to join a growing retail/eCommerce business. This is a hands-on performance marketing role with responsibility for managing and optimising PPC and Paid Social campaigns, driving customer acquisition, online revenue and profitable growth.
You’ll take ownership of paid media activity across key platforms including Google Ads and Meta, using data and insight to continually improve performance, maximise ROAS and identify opportunities for growth. The role is fully remote within the UK and would suit someone with strong performance marketing experience who enjoys combining campaign management, analysis and commercial thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage PPC and Paid Social campaigns across Google Ads, Meta and other relevant platforms.
- Plan, launch and optimise campaigns across Search, Shopping, Performance Max, Display and Paid Social.
- Manage advertising budgets effectively, allocating spend based on performance and commercial priorities.
- Drive customer acquisition, eCommerce sales and revenue while maintaining agreed ROAS and CPA targets.
- Analyse campaign performance and identify opportunities to improve conversion, efficiency and profitability.
- Develop and test audiences, bidding strategies, campaign structures, ad copy and creative.
- Work closely with creative and eCommerce teams to develop high-performing advertising assets and landing pages.
- Manage product-led campaigns, promotions, seasonal activity and key retail trading periods.
- Use GA4, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager and other reporting tools to understand performance across the customer journey.
- Produce regular performance reports, translating data into clear insights and recommendations.
- Monitor competitors, consumer behaviour and paid media trends within retail and eCommerce.
- Continually test new approaches and channels to identify opportunities for scalable growth.

About You
You’ll ideally have previous experience as a Performance Marketing Manager, Paid Media Manager, PPC Manager, Paid Social Manager or an experienced Performance Marketing Executive ready to take the next step. You should have:
- Strong hands-on experience managing PPC and Paid Social campaigns.
- Good working knowledge of Google Ads, including Search, Shopping and Performance Max.
- Experience managing campaigns through Meta Ads Manager.
- Previous experience within retail, eCommerce or another highly transactional B2C environment.
- A strong understanding of performance metrics including ROAS, CPA, CPC, CTR, conversion rate and revenue.
- Experience using GA4 and performance reporting tools.
- Confidence managing and optimising meaningful paid-media budgets.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to balance revenue growth with profitability.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn campaign data into actionable recommendations.
- Experience with creative and audience testing across Paid Social.
- Excellent organisation and communication skills.

Desirable Experience
Experience with Google Merchant Center, product feeds, Shopify or similar eCommerce platforms would be advantageous, as would experience working with attribution, CRO and customer acquisition strategies.
