About the Role
This is a fixed-term contract anticipated until March 2027.
As our Performance Marketing Manager, you will own Genio Notes' direct-to-consumer (D2C) acquisition campaigns end-to-end. You will drive trial starts and paid conversions through structured channel management, campaign experimentation, and clear performance reporting.
You will be responsible for:
- Delivering D2C acquisition targets: Hit monthly trial starts and paid conversion targets for Genio Notes against consumer customer acquisition cost benchmarks.
- Managing the D2C channel mix: Run day-to-day campaign execution across paid, organic, campus, and partnership channels, making strategic allocation decisions within the defined budget.
- Optimising campaign performance: Plan, build, and manage D2C campaigns across paid search and paid social, briefing ads freelancers on targeting, budgets, and creative direction.
- Leading channel experimentation and growth: Design, execute, and rigorously measure structured growth experiments across emerging and underused channels, including referral loops and student partnerships.
- Reporting on and optimising digital performance: Consolidate website performance, SEO/AEO health metrics, and conversion tracking into clear, regular, and actionable reports for the marketing team and VP of Marketing. Brief and collaborate with website agency on landing page builds and CRO test variants.
Meet the Team
You will be reporting directly into the Senior Demand Generation Manager (who will be your line manager). You will work closely with our Ads Freelancer, Website Agency, Learner Marketing Manager, Learner Media Unit, Commercial Enablement Manager, and Senior Content Manager to coordinate campaigns and drive growth.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
