Location: Flexible / Remote
Salary: £34,000 (£20,400 pro rata based on a 0.6 FTE contract)
Hours: Initial freelance contract, approximately 24 hours per week (0.6 FTE / 3 days per week / flexible), with the opportunity to transition into a permanent employed position.

Cygnets Art School is a growing organisation dedicated to inspiring creativity through high-quality art education for children.
Alongside our established franchise network, we're investing in exciting new areas of growth, including Cygnets Online and the Cygnets Foundation. As we continue to expand, we're looking for a Performance Marketing Manager to help accelerate customer acquisition, improve marketing performance and support the next stage of our growth.
Job Purpose
The Performance Marketing Manager will lead customer acquisition and digital performance across the Cygnets Group, helping generate more enquiries, improve conversion rates and maximise return on marketing investment across both our B2C and B2B audiences.
Working closely with the Marketing Director and Social & Community Manager, you'll take ownership of paid advertising, search visibility, website optimisation, analytics and performance reporting, helping drive growth across our franchise network, Cygnets Online and other key business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Performance Marketing
- Plan, manage and optimise paid advertising campaigns across Meta and Google.
- Monitor campaign performance, budgets and return on investment.
- Continually test audiences, creatives, messaging and landing experiences to improve results.
- Identify opportunities to increase enquiries, memberships and customer acquisition across the business.

Search Visibility
- Lead the ongoing optimisation of search visibility across the Cygnets Group.
- Improve organic search performance, local search rankings and Google Business Profiles.
- Conduct keyword and competitor research to identify new growth opportunities.
- Work alongside external developers to improve technical SEO and website performance.
- Stay up to date with emerging AI search trends and recommend opportunities where appropriate.
Website & Conversion Optimisation
- Analyse website performance and user journeys to improve conversion rates.
- Recommend and test improvements to landing pages, calls-to-action and customer journeys.
- Work with colleagues and external developers to implement improvements.
Analytics & Insights
- Manage Google Analytics and other reporting tools to provide clear performance insights.
- Produce regular reports on marketing performance, customer acquisition and campaign effectiveness.
- Use data to identify opportunities, inform decision-making and continuously improve results.
Marketing Campaign Support
- Work closely with the Marketing Director and wider team to support integrated marketing campaigns.
- Support customer acquisition initiatives across the franchise network.
- Contribute to the successful launch and growth of Cygnets Online.
- Provide performance marketing support for wider business initiatives as the organisation continues to grow.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience managing Meta Ads and Google Ads campaigns.
- Strong understanding of SEO, search visibility and website optimisation.
- Experience using Google Analytics (GA4) and other marketing reporting tools.
- Understanding of conversion rate optimisation and customer acquisition strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations.
- Excellent organisation and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with a wider team.
- Experience working within the education sector, a franchise or multi-site business, a subscription-based business or an e-commerce environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
