Performance Marketing Manager
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Performance Marketing Manager based in United Kingdom.
This role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of paid acquisition strategy and performance within a fast-growing ecommerce environment.
You will lead the evolution of paid media operations, managing external partners while building the foundations for future in-house capabilities.
The position combines strategic leadership, hands-on campaign optimization, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration.
You will be responsible for driving measurable growth across key digital channels, improving efficiency, and scaling customer acquisition.
Working closely with commercial, creative, and marketing teams, you will translate business objectives into impactful performance strategies.

Accountabilities
As the Performance Marketing Manager, you will own the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of paid acquisition initiatives. You will be responsible for maximizing channel performance, improving marketing efficiency, and creating scalable processes that support long-term growth.
- Own paid media strategy across Google Ads, Meta Ads, and additional acquisition channels, ensuring alignment with business objectives and revenue targets.
- Manage external paid media agencies, set performance expectations, review strategies, challenge recommendations, and ensure accountability for results.
- Build a roadmap to transition selected paid media activities from agency-led execution toward internal ownership.
- Personally optimize campaigns where needed, improving targeting, bidding strategies, creative testing, and overall channel performance.
- Manage Google Ads activities including Search, Shopping, Performance Max, YouTube campaigns, product-level optimization, and conversion tracking.
- Lead Meta advertising strategies across prospecting, retargeting, product launches, and creative testing initiatives.
- Explore and evaluate new paid acquisition opportunities, including affiliate marketing, influencer partnerships, Reddit, LinkedIn, and other emerging channels.
- Establish clear measurement frameworks, reporting processes, and performance dashboards to track key metrics such as ROI, revenue contribution, efficiency, and customer acquisition performance.
- Partner with merchandising, lifecycle marketing, creative, and sales teams to ensure paid campaigns support broader commercial priorities.
- Drive experimentation by defining hypotheses, evaluating results, and scaling successful initiatives.

Requirements
The ideal candidate is a data-driven performance marketing professional with strong expertise in paid acquisition, agency management, and ecommerce growth. You should be comfortable owning revenue-focused metrics, making strategic decisions, and operating in a fast-moving environment.
- 5-8+ years of experience in paid/performance marketing with proven ownership of acquisition channels.
- Deep hands-on experience managing Google Ads and Meta Ads campaigns.
- Demonstrated success managing external marketing agencies and holding partners accountable for performance.
- Strong analytical and financial mindset with experience optimizing toward revenue, profitability, and efficiency metrics.
- Ability to interpret performance data, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions based on insights.
- Experience developing paid media strategies, testing frameworks, and scalable campaign processes.
- Strong understanding of attribution, tracking, reporting, and marketing analytics.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
- Experience bringing paid media operations in-house from agency management is a strong advantage.
- Experience in high-value ecommerce, B2B-related industries, Shopify environments, coffee, hospitality, or equipment-based businesses is a plus.
- Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with the ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
