About the Role
Queens Park Rangers FC is looking for a Performance Nutritionist to join our First Team Performance Services department. Reporting to the Head of Performance Services, you'll shape and deliver a club-wide nutrition strategy, with a particular focus on optimising performance and recovery for the Men's First Team. You'll also oversee 1-2 part-time/placement nutritionists supporting the wider programme.
Hours are full time, with the work schedule aligned to the first team's training and match calendar.
Key Responsibilities
Performance Strategy
- Develop a club-wide nutrition strategy covering the principles and processes for optimising nutrition across the Club, feeding into the wider organisational performance services model
- Align nutritional principles and interventions with each squad's periodised annual plan
- Build a clear process for embedding nutrition into individual player development plans, linking body composition goals to each player's needs
Applied Support
- Deliver group and 1:1 nutrition education and consultations to Men's First Team and Development Squad players
- Provide daily pitch-side/training support, including nutrition strategy organisation, 1:1 meetings, and performance monitoring (skinfolds/weights)
- Plan and facilitate group nutrition sessions for the Women's Team and Academy pathway, in agreement with the Head of Performance Services

Performance Operations
- Work alongside the Head Performance Chef on menus, catering and specific nutritional interventions
- Produce a monthly nutrition report covering player body composition, feedback and other agreed metrics
- Manage ordering, organisation and dispensing of supplements in line with WADA/UKAD standards
- Attend all Men's First Team matches, liaising with hotels and caterers to ensure nutrition provision around fixtures
MDT & Collaboration
- Attend team, MDT and performance planning meetings, contributing to the overall management of players and daily scheduling
- Feed into individual player development plans (IDPs) on nutritional interventions
Projects & Leadership
- Partner with the Head of Performance Services to embed an evidence-based nutrition strategy into the Club's Performance Services Model
- Oversee nutrition provision and service delivery across the men's, women's and academy squads, including part-time team members
- Provide nutrition education to parents, coaches and other stakeholders, with a particular focus on Academy players U18 and under

What You'll Need
Essential:
- BSc Hons in Sport Science, Nutrition or Dietetics
- ISAK Level 1 accreditation
- Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene registered
- FA EFAiF Certificate
- FA Safeguarding Workshop
- Enhanced DBS Check
- SENr Registered Practitioner
- Previous experience providing sports nutrition services for performance athletes
- A valid driver's licence
- Strong IT skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- A professional, committed attitude with strong organisational and administrative skills
Desirable:
- MSc in Sport Nutrition, Nutrition or Dietetics, or IOC Diploma in Sport Nutrition
- UKAD Antidoping Advisor status
- Creative and engaging presentation skills
- Excellent numeracy and literacy
- A solutions-focused mindset and genuine team player
- Empathy with young people and their challenges
- A dynamic, hardworking individual with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to decision-making
