Our Industrial Placement Programme:

Job Description

The Performance Optimisation department forms the backbone of performance development direction, relentlessly focused on turning potential into championship results. Performance Optimisation teams extract every ounce of speed and efficiency from both car and driver, spanning the full development cycle from car concept performance studies, through to optimising car performance on a race weekend. Leveraging innovative tools and data platforms, the team continuously refines performance and pushes boundaries.

On this 12-month placement you support the Performance Optimisation team in studying and developing performance opportunities for current and future cars. The work spans the full cycle, from car concept studies through to optimising car performance. You run simulation studies, help with relevant simulator/rig testing, and use the team's tools and data platforms to build performance insights.

  • Undertake simulation studies for current/future cars and race support
  • Help with simulator and rig testing
  • Use the team's software tools to deliver performance insights and build performance metrics
  • Gain experience across vehicle dynamics, data analysis, and vehicle testing to develop technical skills in a high-pressure environment.

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

  • Studying an engineering degree with strong academic results and a solid grasp of vehicle dynamics
  • Proficient in coding (e.g. MATLAB/Python) and Microsoft Office 365
  • Motorsport experience through internships or personal projects is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • The ability to work under pressure in a collaborative environment
