Role Description
You will assist the Senior Technician in the preparation and delivery of practical demonstrations, including timetabled sessions, workshops, and the demonstration of processes and techniques across the full spectrum of live production technology, including sound, lighting, AV and video, and staging. You will help students to identify and apply appropriate techniques, processes, resources, and equipment to meet learning outcomes.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the day-to-day running of the Faculty's performance and production facilities
- Using and booking specialist equipment such as digital and analogue mixing consoles, lighting consoles, LED video wall systems, projection, and show control software like QLab and Resolume
- Providing support in the supervision, training, and induction of staff and students
- Assisting with the proactive management of health and safety
- Helping to plan and support performances, exhibitions, events, and conferences across the faculty

Requirements
- Working knowledge of live sound reinforcement, lighting programming and rigging, video signal routing, and stage configuration and construction
- Willingness to learn and develop across all of these disciplines
Working Hours
Evening and weekend work may be required to support the business needs of the Faculty and Schools.
