Salary: National (Edinburgh and Leeds) ranging from £49,600 to £69,000 and London from £54,500 to £75,000 (salary offered will be based on skills and experience)

We are recruiting for a Performance Reporting Lead Associate to join the Organisational Performance and Insights (OP&I) team within the Finance Division at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). This is a high-profile role responsible for shaping and delivering organisational performance reporting and management information for senior FCA decision-makers, including the Executive Committee (ExCo) and Board. The successful candidate will lead a small team while playing a hands-on role in driving reporting excellence, performance insight and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Role responsibilities
- Lead the development, maintenance and enhancement of a suite of automated dashboards which translate organisational performance information into actionable insight for Executive decision-making
- Oversee the curation of information sources, data preparation and visualisation of performance trends using core data systems, the FCA data lake and Tableau
- Lead the timely production of high-quality management information and performance reporting packs for senior FCA decision-makers, including ExCo and Board, against demanding monthly and quarterly reporting cycles
- Build and maintain productive relationships across FCA divisions to align and optimise operational reporting, identify emerging performance issues and opportunities and support appropriate escalation where required
- Establish and maintain reporting standards, promoting a consistent and collaborative approach to organisational performance reporting across the FCA
- Lead, coach and develop a small team of analysts, ensuring the continued development of team capability, delivery excellence and operational resilience

Skills required
Minimum:
- Proven people management and leadership experience, with a track record of leading and developing small teams, setting clear objectives, prioritising and delegating work effectively and fostering a culture of high performance through empowerment and trust
- Strong data, business analysis and performance reporting expertise, with the ability to extract actionable insights from complex performance data, develop meaningful management information and communicate findings clearly and concisely to senior non-technical audiences
- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, with experience coordinating multiple stakeholders, building consensus across business areas, delivering reporting against challenging deadlines and confidently engaging with senior leadership and Executive-level audiences
Essential:
- Experience using Tableau or similar BI and visualisation tools to develop and maintain executive-level dashboards and reporting solutions
- Experience producing or overseeing Executive Committee and/or Board-level management information and performance reporting within a complex organisation
- Experience establishing and gaining buy-in for a vision and pragmatic roadmap to continuously improve performance reporting, management information and strategy delivery reporting
- Familiarity with FCA functions, processes, supporting systems and data, or experience working within a comparable regulatory or highly regulated environment
- Understanding of the regulatory landscape and the ways in which organisations authorise, supervise and enforce regulatory requirements
- Strong understanding of organisational performance measurement and how outcomes, outputs and activities flow across multiple business areas
- Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams, valuing different perspectives and building trusted relationships to achieve shared objectives
- Ability to manage a heavy and varied workload, work effectively under pressure and deliver to tight monthly and quarterly reporting cycles
