Spire Bushey Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Perioperative Practitioner to join the team on a Full time basis. Spire Bushey Hospital forms part of a 4 site portfolio, and is supported by and works alongside Spire Bushey Diagnostic Centre, Elstree Cancer Centre and Spire Pathology Centre. Our theatre team cover a wide variety of specialties including Ortho, Bariatric, General, Gyane, ENT, Urology, Plastics, Ophthalmics, Spinal.

Duties and responsibilities
- To provide exemplary planned care for patients within the perioperative and assist in the management and organisation of care provision in the operating theatre.
- Assess patient’s health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload.
- Assist in the delivery of care to meet patient’s health and wellbeing.
- Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information.
- Develop own knowledge and skills and that of others.
- Promotes best practice in health and safety and security.
- Assist in maintaining and developing services.
- Contribute to quality improvement.
- Promote people’s equality, diversity and rights.
- Apply technology for measurement, monitoring and treatment.
- Acknowledge the risk of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) and understand own responsibility as agreed with line manager in the prevention and control of HCAI.

Who we're looking for
- Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner
- Experience of working in teams and with minimum supervision
- Previous leadership experience would be an advantage, however we offer award winning training and CPD
- HCPC or NMC registration
- At least 2 years ortho scrub experience
- You must be passionate and driven and be able to demonstrate your dynamic thinking
- Completed SFA training would be an advantage, however we are able to offer this as part of your career progression
Working Hours
Full Time, Monday - Saturday, no nights. Shifts between 7.30am – 8pm.
