Role Outline
We are seeking a passionate and proactive Wellbeing Physiologist to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, working Monday to Thursday, in a Peripatetic role working in and around Reading, Swindon area. With frequent UK wide travel. The ideal candidate will be qualified to degree level or equivalent in Sports & Exercise Science, Health Science, Exercise Physiology, or a related field. You will have experience delivering health assessments or possess knowledge of clinical measurements, alongside excellent skills in diary management and communication. A strong communicator with a positive approach, you will be committed to improving individuals' health and wellbeing.
What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering health screening assessments to patients.
- Providing tailored evidence-based advice based on patient health profiles and behavioural change stages.
- Collaborating with the wider multidisciplinary clinical team to design innovative healthcare programmes.
- Using specialised equipment for clinical physiological tests, recording and analysing data.
- Interpreting clinical data, assessing clinical risk, and escalating to GP or OH practitioners if needed.
- Supporting and delivering educational workshops and health & wellbeing webinars.
- Supporting the design of health promotion campaigns informed by organisational data.
- Managing the clinical diary with support from the Senior Wellbeing Physiologist.
- Facilitating the correct set-up for client appointments and events.
- Encouraging personal accountability for health and wellbeing among clients.
- Serving as a role model, ambassador, and team player for health and wellbeing, promoting a culture that prioritises health and wellbeing.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge through research and continuing education.
- Maintaining and calibrating equipment in line with HP Policy, reporting faults etc.
- Acting within the boundaries set out by the company’s policies to ensure sensitive personal information is protected as required by law, regulatory bodies, ethics and best practice

What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable individual with a background in sports, medical, health, wellbeing, or fitness environments, or someone who has studied subjects such as human physiology, exercise, biochemistry, anatomy/biomechanics, psychology, or nutrition. Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals living with chronic illnesses, disabilities, and mental health conditions is desirable but not essential. You will bring a compassionate and understanding approach, alongside the expertise and enthusiasm to support people in improving their overall health and wellbeing. A full UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle are essential for this role.
Hours
We are seeking a part-time team member to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm. Flexibility will be required, and there may be occasional requests to work a night shift/late shift.
Location
We are seeking a Midlands based candidate to work across different client sites in and around the Midlands, Reading and Swindon with frequent UK wide travel. Expenses will be covered including food, mileage and hotel expenses when travel is required, notice will be given ahead of any travel.
Salary
We are offering between £28,000K and £32,000K for this role depending on experience and qualifications.
