Business Support Recruitment Consultant
4 days a week | £50k | Hybrid, 2 days in the office | London
GSR2R is partnering with an established, multi-award-winning recruitment business to find an experienced Business Support Consultant to join their team on a 4-day week. This is a particularly good opportunity because you won’t be starting from scratch.
You’ll be taking over an established desk that has billed £160k in the last 12 months, with existing client relationships and plenty of opportunity for further growth.
The Desk
- The client base is predominantly across Financial Services, Private Equity, and Venture Capital, with increasing opportunities to recruit across their portfolio companies, giving you exposure to businesses across a wide variety of sectors.
- While clients are mainly London-based, strong existing relationships also generate international roles.
You’ll work closely with one other consultant who has been with the business since day one and is a consistent high performer. You’ll operate as a genuine partnership, covering each other on your respective days off and during holidays, providing continuity for clients and candidates.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
