Location: Birmingham

Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Start Date: January 2027 or sooner

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Biology Teacher looking for an exciting permanent opportunity within a thriving secondary school? We are working in partnership with a well-established and highly regarded academy in Birmingham that is seeking to appoint an outstanding Biology Teacher to join their successful Science department. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to delivering high-quality science education and inspiring students to develop a love for Biology. Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and ambitious ECTs looking to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Teach Biology across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially Key Stage 5.
  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that inspire curiosity and academic achievement.
  • Support students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and successful Science faculty.
  • Monitor progress effectively and provide targeted intervention where required.
  • Promote a positive learning environment with high expectations for behavior and achievement.

The Ideal Candidate

You will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be on track to achieve it.
  • Have strong subject knowledge in Biology.
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills.
  • Be passionate about raising attainment and aspirations.
  • Have the ability to motivate and engage learners.
  • Be committed to continuous professional development and whole-school improvement.
