Permit to Work Coordinator (Junior HSE)
This role is based at Hinkley Point C, working on an exciting long-term project for Arabelle under EDF. The Permit to Work Coordinator is ideal for someone with a practical mindset, keen to develop their HSE experience within a large-scale industrial environment. This role offers a great opportunity to build knowledge and capability in a high-profile energy project.
Salary
£40,000–£50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Location and Working Pattern
HPC site-based position, working 10 days on and 4 days off. Shifts will be 10 hours per day on the back shift (12:00 noon – 10:00 pm).
Client Overview
This position is supporting EDF at Hinkley Point C providing specialist expertise to one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure developments.
Responsibilities
- Issue permits to work across designated areas of the site.
- Manage and track hot work permits, with scope to expand into other work activities as project needs develop.
- Ensure all documentation meets health, safety, and compliance standards.
- Liaise with contractors and operational teams to confirm safety conditions are met.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe workplace through accurate administrative control of work processes.
- Support wider HSE coordination and assurance activities as required.

Must-have Requirements
- NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent).
- Practical experience issuing work orders or permits within an industrial setting.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Understanding of site safety principles and procedures.
Nice-to-have Skills
- Previous experience in a health, safety, and environmental role.
- Exposure to Permit to Work systems across multiple work categories.
- Ability to liaise effectively with contractors and operational teams.
