Department: United Utilities Location: Lingley Mere, Warrington Compensation: £31,525 / year

Description

As a Permitting Team Leader, you will manage a team of permit administrators who are responsible for the statutory permitting duties in line with Streetworks legislation. The permitting department are an integral section within the larger department and are a huge support function over adherence of Streetworks legislation and jeopardy management of live permits.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for someone to:

  • Manage and efficiently resource the team, including weekend requirements, ensuring the office operation has adequate coverage, aligning to the field operation.
  • Knowledge of the New Road and Street Works Act and Highway Permit Schemes is essential as well as experience of using Street Manager.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills to effectively lead a team and deal with queries.
  • Ensure compliance is maintained in line with contractual KPIs.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Experience of running and mentoring a team.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, multi-task and work under tight time pressures.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of New Road and Street Works Act and Highway Permit Schemes is essential.
  • Experience of Street Manager is essential.
