Your new company

An internationally recognised professional services business is seeking an experienced Tax Manager or Senior Manager to join its London-based tax function on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative team supporting a complex global partnership structure across multiple jurisdictions.

This position is ideally suited to a tax professional with strong UK partnership and personal tax compliance expertise who is looking for a broad, hands-on role with significant stakeholder exposure.

Your new role

Working closely with senior leadership, you will take ownership of key elements of the partner tax compliance cycle while supporting wider partnership tax and financial matters. The role combines technical tax work, operational responsibility and business partnering, making it a varied and commercially focused opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the preparation and review of UK partner tax returns, including amendments and year-end filings.
  • Oversee partner tax payment processes and liaise with finance teams to ensure accurate accounting treatment.
  • Produce cashflow forecasts and communicate tax obligations to key stakeholders.
  • Review and support the work of more junior members of the tax team.
  • Prepare Double Tax Relief calculations and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with partnership tax reserve calculations and reconciliations.
  • Support international mobility matters, including advising on the tax impact of remote and cross-border working arrangements.
  • Provide practical guidance on a range of ad hoc tax and partnership-related queries.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
