Personal Assistant (PA)
We are seeking a Personal Assistant (PA) to join our Belfast office.
The role of a PA at A&L Goodbody provides an opportunity for involvement in complex, fast-paced matters and projects while working with an international client base. Our PAs provide essential administrative support to Partners and Fee Earners, working collaboratively as part of a wider team to ensure seamless service delivery to clients and contribute to the continued success of the Firm.
- Providing efficient administrative support to Fee Earners, including the preparation of high-quality documents, proposals, and presentations;
- Fast and accurate document production across a range of matters;
- Onboarding new clients while adhering to the Firm's compliance procedures;
- Extensive diary management using Microsoft Outlook;
- Booking conferences, travel, and accommodation using travel management software;
- Supporting Fee Earners with invoicing, including preparing, issuing, and following up on outstanding invoices;
- Assisting with other ad hoc administrative and project requirements;
- Providing proactive support across teams and business areas as required, including occasional reception cover.
Requirements
We are looking for a team player who is keen to add value and who will actively engage with our culture and core values.
Essential
- 2+ years' experience working as a PA in a professional services or partnership environment;
- Current working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and digital dictation;
- A proactive, professional, can-do attitude with exceptional attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality work.

Desirable
- Experience using time recording and invoicing systems such as Expert;
- Experience with matter inception processes and document management systems such as Intapp Open or iManage;
- The ability to create presentation materials in line with the ALG Way communication style;
- Experience using digital dictation systems such as BigHand;
