Yolk Recruitment - Personal Assistant to an Executive Director
Yolk Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a values-led community housing organisation, with a strong focus on people, communities and delivering excellent services to customers, in the appointment of an experienced Personal Assistant to provide high-quality support to an Executive Director and members of the Senior Leadership Group.
The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced PA who enjoys working in a fast-paced, senior environment and takes pride in being the person who keeps things organised, moving and on track.
You’ll be a trusted and proactive partner to senior leaders, helping them manage competing priorities and ensuring they are well supported to deliver their strategic objectives.
You'll join an established team of three PAs, working collaboratively and providing cover for one another as required. You'll need to be confident working independently, but equally comfortable as part of a close-knit team.
With the role starting in December 2026, we're ideally looking for someone who can hit the ground running and bring strong PA experience from day one.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll provide a high-quality PA service to senior leaders, including:
- Managing complex diaries and multiple calendars, ensuring priorities are effectively coordinated.
- Managing busy inboxes, prioritising correspondence and ensuring actions are followed through.
- Acting as a trusted gatekeeper, using sound judgement when managing requests and escalating issues where appropriate.
- Coordinating meetings from start to finish, including agendas, papers, logistics, minutes and follow-up actions.
- Preparing reports, presentations, briefing papers and other documentation.
- Supporting travel, accommodation and event arrangements.
- Building strong relationships with colleagues, external partners and stakeholders.
- Handling confidential and sensitive information with absolute discretion.
- Maintaining effective digital filing and document management systems, including SharePoint and OneDrive.
- Supporting recruitment and people-related processes associated with senior roles.
- Working flexibly across the PA team, providing cover and support to colleagues when required.
- Anticipating the needs of senior leaders and proactively resolving issues before they arise.
- Supporting meetings and activities across the organisation, including travel where required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
