Job title: Personal Assistant

Hours

  • 6 hours term time
  • 11 hours school holidays

Rates of pay

  • £14.50 per hour

Location

  • Newcastle upon Tyne (Byker area)

We are looking for a kind, patient and understanding Personal Assistant to support Hala, a 7-year-old girl who is autistic, non-verbal and has a global developmental delay. Hala’s family would love to find someone who can build a trusting and positive relationship with her and provide consistent support over the long term.

Hala Enjoys

  • Sea animals and animal-related activities
  • Visiting Ouseburn Farm
  • Being outdoors
  • Going to parks
  • Having large, safe spaces where she can run and explore

The role will involve supporting Hala to enjoy activities in the community, develop her confidence and independence, and explore different ways of communicating.

  • Able to follow Hala’s lead and recognise her individual communication
  • Confident supporting a child outdoors and in the community
  • Attentive and able to maintain Hala’s safety
