Personal Assistant Required – Clarkston
Location: Clarkston, East Renfrewshire
Salary/Hourly Rate: £15
Contract: Permanent
We are looking for a compassionate, patient, and reliable Personal Care Assistant to support a gentleman living at home with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease.
Previous experience supporting individuals with Alzheimer’s is desirable, but we also welcome applications from candidates with relevant care experience who are committed to providing person-centred support.

At present, the gentleman experiences significant fatigue and spends much of his time resting. As trust and familiarity develop, the aim is to encourage gentle, meaningful activities that enhance his wellbeing and quality of life. This may include:
- Short walks
- Listening to music
- Playing CDs
- Providing companionship in a calm and reassuring environment
There is currently no personal care duties required. However, occasional support may be needed to prompt him on eating and drinking, ensuring he is comfortable and safe.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is kind, empathetic, and able to build a trusting relationship while supporting an individual to remain independent and enjoy meaningful daily activities in the comfort of his own home.
Weekly Hours
- Sunday 9.30am – 13.30pm (4 hours)
