Location: Wishaw, North Lanarkshire
Salary/Hourly Rate: £13.45
Contract: Permanent
£13.45 per hour | Average 36 hours per week | Permanent Position

A friendly gentleman in his early 40s is looking for a compassionate and dependable Personal Support Assistant to join his small, established team supporting him in his own home in Wishaw. This is a direct employment opportunity, not agency work, allowing you to build a consistent and meaningful working relationship.
Hours & Pay
- £13.45 per hour
- Average 36 hours per week
- 24-hour shifts (10:00am–10:00am)
- Two-week rolling rota:
- Week 1: One 24-hour shift
- Week 2: Two 24-hour shifts
- Paid every 4 weeks
- Additional flexibility to cover holidays and occasional sickness is appreciated.

About The Role
This is a varied and rewarding role supporting someone to live independently in their own home. No personal care is required, although assistance with shaving and gentle prompting throughout the day is needed.
Your Duties Will Include
- Preparing meals
- Light household duties
- Providing companionship
- Supporting daily routines
- Spending time enjoying shared interests such as football, films, and music
You’ll become part of a friendly, supportive team, with full training provided.
About The Person You’ll Support
The gentleman has epilepsy and autism. He is sociable, has a great sense of humour, and enjoys following Motherwell Football Club, watching films, and listening to music. Experience with epilepsy or autism is welcome but not essential, as full training will be provided.

We’re Looking For Someone Who Is
- Caring, patient, and dependable
- A good communicator
- Flexible and able to work as part of a small team
- Experienced in care or support work (professional or personal experience considered)
- Able to build positive, respectful relationships
