Hours: 12 hours per week, Monday-Thursday 3 hours per day (afternoons)
Area: Heaton, Newcastle Upon Tyne
Rate: £15.00 per hour
Our client is currently looking for an experienced, flexible personal assistant to assist her within the home and out into the community.
About the Role:
- Susan has a variety of physical mobility & respiratory disabilities and requires assistance with personal care, accessing the community, and household tasks including organizing the household including DIY/small gardening tasks.
- Susan is bubbly and outgoing with a good sense of humour, she lives with her cat, so an animal lover is essential.
- The role will include supporting and assisting Susan with domestic tasks including organizing the household so it is accessible and assisting with shopping or accessing the community to attend appointments or for leisure activities if she chooses.
- Personal care may be required to assist with dressing and hair washing.
- There may be a requirement to assist and support Susan to prepare meals when required.

About Susan:
- Susan is a retired teacher and lecturer and has a vast collection of literature and art materials. She describes herself as a bookaholic and is keen to begin getting creative with her arts and crafts materials.
- Her favourite artist is Kurt Jackson, and she has studied Isaac Newton and various therapeutic psychology models and has a Doctorate in Academic history. You will not be short of topics to discuss.
- As a keen gardener, one of her goals is to get her backyard organized with her collection of plants in pots.
