Personal Assistant – Support to Social Worker

We are recruiting for a Personal Assistant to support a Social Worker within a local authority. This is a temporary agency assignment working 4 days per week, up to 28.8 hours per week.

The role will provide a mixture of administrative and practical support, helping the Social Worker manage their workload and carry out their professional duties effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing emails, calendars, appointments, and meetings.
  • Preparing reports, case notes, correspondence, and other documents.
  • Taking meeting notes and following up on actions and deadlines.
  • Maintaining confidential case files and updating records.
  • Supporting casework, referrals, and multi-agency information.
  • Assisting with IT systems, documents, and accessible working methods.
  • Providing practical support during meetings and community visits.

About you:

  • Previous experience in a PA, administration, business support, or social care role.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
  • Confident using IT systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Professional, patient, and supportive approach.

Please note: An Enhanced DBS is required. Due to the personal support requirements of the role, this position is restricted to female applicants only in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

You must also have a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, as you will be required to drive the Social Worker to meetings and community visits. Business insurance will be required, and mileage will be reimbursed in line with policy.
