Personal Assistant to General Manager
Cheltenham | Hybrid Working (2-3 Days Office Based)
6-Month Fixed-Term Contract with Potential to Become Permanent
Salary: Up to £35,000
Are you a highly organised Personal Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced, corporate environment? We are looking for a proactive and personable PA to provide dedicated support to a General Manager, while also offering light-touch assistance to two Vice Presidents within a global fintech business.
This is a pivotal role supporting a senior leader who manages a demanding schedule of back-to-back meetings, frequent international travel, client engagements, and strategic leadership responsibilities. You'll become a trusted partner, ensuring priorities remain on track, time is managed effectively, and key stakeholders receive a professional and welcoming experience.
The Role
As Personal Assistant to the General Manager, you will act as the first point of contact and a professional gatekeeper, helping to manage competing priorities and ensuring the smooth running of an exceptionally busy diary.
The General Manager works closely with colleagues across multiple international locations, including the USA, meaning you'll regularly coordinate across different time zones and support communications with senior stakeholders globally.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
