Interim Executive Assistant / Personal Assistant to the Headteacher
Location: Hammersmith, West London
Contract: Interim – Immediate Start
Working Pattern: Full-time, onsite (Monday to Friday)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

The Opportunity
We are seeking an exceptional and highly experienced Executive Assistant / Personal Assistant to provide interim support to the Headteacher of a prestigious London-based school.
This is a pivotal and highly visible role, requiring a confident professional who can operate effectively from day one within a fast-paced, demanding and high-profile educational environment. The successful candidate will act as a trusted right hand to the Headteacher, ensuring the smooth and efficient management of their day-to-day activities while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, discretion and organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Complex and proactive diary management, including scheduling, prioritisation and coordination of meetings and events.
- Comprehensive inbox management, drafting correspondence and responding on behalf of the Headteacher where appropriate.
- Acting as a key point of contact for senior staff, governors, parents, donors and external stakeholders.
- Preparing agendas, reports, presentations and briefing documents.
- Attending meetings and producing accurate, concise and professional minutes and action logs.
- Managing confidential and sensitive information with absolute discretion.
- Coordinating internal and external communications on behalf of the Headteacher.
- Anticipating requirements, resolving issues proactively and ensuring priorities are effectively managed.
- Supporting the planning and administration of school events, meetings and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the school to ensure the smooth operation of the Headteacher's office.

Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have:
- Significant experience supporting a CEO, Headteacher, Principal, Senior Partner or other executive-level leader.
- A proven track record within a senior Executive Assistant or Personal Assistant role.
- Exceptional organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong experience in formal minute-taking and meeting administration.
- Excellent judgement, professionalism and discretion.
- The confidence and credibility to interact with senior stakeholders at all levels.
- The ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure while managing competing priorities.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to anticipate needs rather than simply respond to requests.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office; experience with Google Workspace would be advantageous.
Additional Information
- This is a fully onsite role based in Hammersmith, West London with no home-working option.
- Flexibility with working hours would be beneficial to accommodate the needs of the Headteacher and the school.
- Candidates with a reasonable and reliable commute to West London will be particularly welcomed.
