PA to the Executive Team

A local authority is looking for an experienced PA to the Executive Team to provide high-quality administrative and executive support to the Chief Executive and Strategic Directors.

The Role

You will provide a professional and confidential support service, including:

  • Managing diaries and appointments for the Chief Executive and Strategic Directors
  • Monitoring and managing emails and correspondence
  • Drafting letters, correspondence, reports, and other documents
  • Organising meetings, events, visits, and travel arrangements
  • Preparing presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Taking and producing accurate meeting minutes
  • Providing project office support for corporate projects
  • Acting as a key point of contact for Elected Members, MPs, employees, members of the public, and external organisations
  • Supporting the preparation of Cabinet and Council reports
  • Assisting with Freedom of Information requests and complaints
  • Maintaining electronic filing systems and handling confidential information
  • Raising purchase orders and processing/approving payments where required
  • Providing administrative support to the Leader and Cabinet Members when required

  • Experience in a senior administrative, PA, or executive support role
  • Experience managing diaries, correspondence, and confidential information
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Experience producing documents, reports, and meeting minutes
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • The ability to communicate professionally with senior leaders and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail, including proofreading and correcting documents
  • A professional, confident, and highly organised approach
  • Knowledge or understanding of Local Government would be advantageous
  • A relevant qualification at Level 3 or equivalent
