About Ascot Dental Practice

At Ascot Dental Practice, the diary is not just a calendar. It is the point where patient care, clinical work, referrals, suppliers, and the principal’s time all have to fit together properly. We are a friendly local dental surgery providing high quality, personal care for the whole family, with a preventive approach, clear advice, and a calm, honest experience for nervous patients as well as everyone else who walks through the door.

This role exists because the practice runs best when the principal has one trusted person keeping everything organised behind the scenes, so they can stay focused on patients and the practice.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be the principal’s right hand, keeping their working life moving smoothly and making sure the important things are handled without fuss. That means:

  • Managing a busy, changing diary
  • Handling correspondence and calls
  • Coordinating meetings and travel
  • Keeping on top of referrals and communication with labs, specialists, and suppliers
  • Handling confidential and personal admin with total discretion
  • Protecting the principal’s time and making sure nothing important is missed

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You’ll soon get used to the rhythm of clinical life here: the pressure between surgery time and everything else, the chasing that referrals and lab work need, and the need for every patient and contact to receive a warm, professional response.

Who we’re looking for

This is a role for someone who can work closely and confidentially with the principal, then use their own judgement once trust is built. The day won’t always look the same, so you’ll need to stay on top of shifting priorities and make sensible calls within agreed boundaries.

The outstanding people in this role are discreet to their core, keep calm when the day falls apart, and anticipate what’s needed before it is asked for. They quietly make someone else’s working life work, and become genuinely indispensable.
